That's extremely quick delivery in the U.S. if sending via media mail (cheapest shipping), okay if by first class (if lightweight book) and incredibly bad if they promised (or you paid for) priority mail.

No, I didn't pay for priority... it was just something which I thought would be funny, and enlightening given the subject matter of the book :-) ... it's just an observation which I thought might be worth a chuckle!

It is funny what we get used to.

Most things do normally ship same day from reputable places and no matter how they pad their delivery estimates to avoid customer complaints usually only take 1-2 days to arrive where I won't usually bother with priority mail either.

I've learned the hard way with my Amazon prime to not go for "no rush" shipping even when there's some coupon for it. I get used to the 1-3 day shipping and was shocked when something took three weeks to get to me (I actually needed it in two weeks but figured that no-rush was plenty of time).
