Ooh, I've been meaning to read this, but I haven't made time for it yet. Great review!

Oh, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It was just my cuppa tea!

I'm currently reading The Severed Streets by him. It sounds like this will be rather different...

I read London Falling, the first volume of the Shadow Police, for last Halloween. I'm planning to read The Severed Streets (no.2 of the series) for my London square this year.

I'm reading it for the Horror square. So far I like it, but it's not completely absorbing (or it's long enough that it still takes me a while to read). I'm hoping to read the new Peter Grant for London.

I started reading Paul Cornell's books because Ben Aaronovitch (Peter Grant's author) recommended them. I adore the Peter Grant series and I'm hoping to like Severed Streets better than London Falling.

I'd say it starts off better but I'm not sure if I'll rate it any higher. I'm about 2/3 of the way through.

Actually it's getting kind of tricky because I'm listening to an audio version of Moon Over Soho at the same time...

Oh, deadly! Aaronovitch has such a light, optomistic touch and Cornell is better at brooding & dark.

No, I mean I actually was getting confused between the two stories. I think I was tired.

The Lychford series couldn't seem to be more different than the Shadow Police books -- if nothing else, I think I've laughed at the former. Love 'em both.

I prefer Lychford, but I do like them both. :)
This book has been on my to read list for ages. And I didn't make the connection *at all* that it was the same guy who wrote London Falling (which I'm reading right now)

The very same. :) I'll be reading The Severed Streets soon.
