Interesting to see Dame Agatha repeat herself!
She did that a lot -- she actually recycled everything from murder methods to whole plots, especially between short stories and novels (typically with a different person becoming the murderer, "real" clues becoming red herrings and vice versa, etc.). She just wrote so many books that it usually takes a while until you run into it for the very first time.
