It was so awesome, I especially liked how Ee made Raffe and Penryn so corny, it was a good buffer for all the horror and carnage that is happening. There was soo much creepiness in this book and I keep feeling like Ee will crank it up over 9000 for the next one as well. I just loved the tension between Raffe and Penryn, it was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Yes! But corny worked, because it wasn't driving a book. There was build up leading to it. And it was corny mixed with awkward. And, as you said, a relief. I wouldn't be able to take a whole book of that. Plus, it was a moment they had, and then reality of dealing with a person kicked in. How long could two real people keep that up? Really.
