I've read one of Kiernan's books (twice actually, weirdly) and it has just about everything in it that should make me love the book... But I just hated it.

Hmm. I'll let you know what I think of Drowning Girl - I've never read Kiernan before.

I think I'd read one of her really early books? Threshhold maybe? I'm not sure of the title... It had trilobites. :)
