I actually do this all the time with my favourite book (The Silmarillion by J.R.R.Tolkien). I figure that even if you get something that seems totally irrelevant and cryptic the thought you put into trying to work out what it means helps you work out what you actually want the answer to be. (If that makes sense.)
I did and felt terrible :( My husband and son ate it. I've been mostly vegetarian, eating meat or fish once a week. I don't know if I can go all in vegan but am going to do the best I can.
I'm vegetarian too. Ever since I read Michael Poulan's book and he posed the question, are you willing to kill and clean the animals that you are eating, and my answer was a resounding No.
Yeah, that got to me too. Watching Earthlings recently about did me in. My daughter is a strict vegan and it's hard for her. Her school mates tease her about her food and when she recently brought cupcakes to an event they all picked and prodded at them. Family members are always pushing things on her. She has amazing will power and strength (she doesn't let the dopes get to her). I don't know if I could give up my Trader Joe's dark chocolate peanut butter cups though ;( Everything else I can live without.
I think you get a bye on Trader Jack's dark chocolate peanut butter cups. And I truly don't think cows mind providing us with milk and butter. It's just that they are forced to do it in corporate dairies. Make sure Trader Jacks get their dairy products from Braums and you'll be golden.
Love this. I decided to use the current book I'm reading, The Cold Dish. My question was: should I move to the West Coast? Answer: "She nodded. 'That fact's been established and corroborated. Ferg is checking with Dave about their plans'." Ha! Actually the whole page is kind of funny when you consider the question. Up top there is the line "I turned to look at her. 'Any local activity';, and at the bottom, "I thought about the next move." Too funny.
Wow! I'd say that's a pretty strong answer! Are you ready to move? In a few years I am selling the house (desperately need a change of scenery) and flip flopping between buying a condo near a beach in ME or FL or moving to a more isolated area with a little more land where the houses are cheap and creating a little animal sanctuary. I go back and forth depending on the day.
Hey, whichever way you decide to go, good luck with the move! I think it's wonderful. :) I'm still in the very early stages so it won't be for at least 5 years. I'm not sure as to where exactly I want to live yet (still researching) but I know it has to be somewhere warm and where the cost of living is fair. The weather here in NYC is getting to me, and the cost of living here is outrageous. I'm definitely ready for a change.
I'll have to try it tomorrow when I get home. First I have to come up with a question.
Thanks for sharing this.
LOL
I unfortunately have never had such a result. :P
And I just love the Cows. Every time I see them.
I love those cows too.
should totally ask a book! just tell the family you're book said you had to, they'll understand :P
