The spammers are hitting Handmade at Amazon sellers, too, by pretending to be asking questions about products.

A buyer has sent you a message regarding an item on your Amazon.com store. Please remember that you should not honor any requests to ship an item or complete a transaction outside Amazon.com.

Sire? Really???? Why aren't you "My Lady" then?

Gah, I hate these things with the burning hatred of a thousand suns, just for the bad grammar alone.

They are not native speakers/readers of English.

But then again, there are native speakers/readers of English who are no better, or even much worse.

Granted, but if you're taking the time to solicit English users, take the time to get the grammar - or at least the words - correct. How can anyone take something like that seriously? (Rhetorical question - I know, people do, but it boggles the mind.)

They honestly believe that they have done so. They don't know how ridiculous their text reads.

I remember reading a book back in junior high about a bunch of boys playing baseball. One of the boys was a German immigrant, so the American slang was, forgive the metaphor, out of his league. The other fielders yelled at their pitcher "Make him miss it!" or similar simple encouragements. The German kid yelled, "Seek to throw the ball where his bat cannot make contact with it!" and he realized it wasn't quite right but he didn't know how to make his comment match what his teammates were hollering.

These pitchmen don't even know how bizarre their text reads.
What more can be said about a hand held can opener?!
