Yay a hit for you...finally. I want to read this one too. I get the feeling that it reads like old school King

I hope you like it Buggy. i actually listened to this before my current "meh" spell and am cleaning up some reviews that didn't come over quite right. Yet another project to distract me from actually reading.

This was probably my favorite King so far!

It was great, wasn't it? If only all books could move me like this one.

Move me with a whooooole box of tissues!
I´ve only read two books
by Stephen King so far - Pet Cemetary and Firestarter, that was enough angst and horror for me - I´m a wussy in regard of horror books :)

Those two do have a lot of angst and horror. The one that really got me though was "Bag of Bones". It was so unsettling and dark I've read it a few times and it never fails to give me the creeps.
... and I NEVER watch horror movies too - my beauty sleep gets more and more important with a
ge ;)

Though, I have to say, Joyland didn't read as a horror book to me. More of a mystery/coming of age.

Haha, I love horror movies but I sleep like the dead!

True this wasn't all that scary, just a wee bit creepy. You might be okay with it Inara though it does have a lot of angst.
Than Halloween would be a good time to start reading it...

I can't watch horror movies either... waaaay too scary. or do haunted houses. Books are it, I can read a horror book, but that's it.

Halloween would be perfect!
