Thank goodness you've found them all loving homes. Could you imagine if people did to books like they do pets and just started dropping bags of books off at random people's houses, usually in the country or close to a school :/ It's bad enough with pets :( I'd not only have a yard full of animals but then I'd have a whole house full of stray books.
Lol. Yea stray books fucking eating me out of food and home. Cant get rid of the bloody things!
LOL, my friends do this to me all the time! IDK why but lately, seems that I've become the depository for hard copies of a certain *cough* genre... ;-)

How do you think I ended up with so many books and pets Jamie? :)

I've finally learned to say no because I am officially out of room.

It's a pain but I feel better with them gone.
I think that it's awesome that you're taking the time to find new homes for your books. I'm always dumbfounded--for a number of reasons--whenever I hear someone say that they throw out their old books. :(

I've only thrown away two books in my life. One was eaten by my puppy and beyond fixing and the other was received from PBS with mouse turds and pee marks on it! Yeah, ewwww. Even I couldn't come up with a reason to keep that one.
Im lucky theres heaps of places here where you can donate your books, cheap book store, library, lifeline etc etc....
and thats only if i cant find mates who wouldnt want to take them on - though most my RW friends dont read, party poopers!

I have a lot of choices here too. We have these book donation bins in every other parking lot and the library will take some for the UBS sale. I can't ever pawn them off on my friends/family though. Most of them either have too many books or don't read for pleasure.
Gosh all these weirdos not reading for pleasure. There lives much be lacking so much! ;)
