I liked this one and the baker one, but I too hated the every freaking detail of wedding planning that went into all the books. I did the courthouse thing with hubby to avoid planning a wedding, and my avoidance was validated by these books. However, I did enjoy Mac and Carter's relationship (I do agree with the mother -- a useless character that could have been left on the editor's floor). The second book (the florist -- oh man did I not like her at all) sucked for me, and the last book was just meh. I did read, as opposed to listen, to the book, so maybe I liked the love story because I didn't get the robot voice?

I had a lovely wedding which was relatively frugal but when I think of all the money I worked so hard to save and then spent on one day it makes me quite ill. We could've used that money much more wisely on a downpayment for a house. Instead we fed a whole bunch of people we never saw again and then had to scrimp and save for years. If I had it to do over again I'd get married barefoot on the beach with only my closet friends and family surrounding me. Ah well, live and learn.
As for these books I don't think I'll read another unless I stumble across one in audio at the library.
