One of my absolute favorite Christmas songs. Thank you.

This is a total staple of Kiwi christmasses. Probably the single Christmas song most often played on the radio :)

And somehow I forgot that, and so now I am spamming my kids with this video to make up for not doing so when they were little. I (but not so much they) thank you!

I had this when I was a child! (Wasn't certain from the title, but the graphic and the first line - yeah, I had this.)

I was SO amazed to read the wikipedia page and find out that it's got this huge following/odd relationship in NZ and Australia and repeatedly hops back into the popularity charts plus the most hated charts! In the US I think it was kind of obscure after the later 60s/early 70s. And of course blown away by things that Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, which will apparently never die.

I should post a screenshot of the album cover I had, it's kinda creepy looking.
