Lol, the betting agents take bets each year now on what day it'll get destroyed :)

I have little ones I put on the table for christmas dinner, they're mad cute.

I feel culturally dull that we do not build and decorate an outdoor goat. Seriously, America, we need to adopt more holidays from other countries. If I knew a source for straw I'd start contemplating goat-building.
It seems like it would be such a natural for us, doesn't it?

Especially the annual suspense to see whether someone will destroy it in some manner. You'd think we'd be all over something like that. But I'm pretty sure someone would eventually get injured, as folk in the US seem unable not to go to extremes over something like this. Though local govt could always solve that by having a ritual Exploding of the Goat ceremony if it hadn't been burned down. I'm sure everyone would enjoy a nice Hollywood-style explosion!

Lol, ,that's a bit swedish too. A couple of times the people who burnt the goat down did get hurt, and the reaction here is pretty much "well you shouldn't have been doing that, dumbass". And then they put up a new one the year after anyway :)
