I would have to attend anything named "outhouse races" because that sounds too funny to resist! I just continue to feel grateful I have indoor plumbing - especially in the summer when it's like 100 degrees or so, ugh. Can NOT imagine dealing with outhouses in heat like that.

And now I have to add that too because I'm now curious how we went from the world full of Roman baths to the time when it was considered unhealthy to bathe!

I can't wait for A Very British Murder to come out over here! Though I never seem to be able to remember the name they're printing it under. I watched the documentary though, wonderful. Thanks for posting about her blog and other things as well, I'm off to waste...I mean educate myself. ;-)

And thank you Killer Rabbit for telling us about the Outhouse races. That is something I must see before I die!

I will have to swamp your youtubes. A pal sent me a link to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDw2yNdQPho&list=PLE42FE815C9D0EF51

but more importantly IMHO, this: Harlots, Housewives and Heroines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiFaSHd6H18

Major time sucks right there!

I think I may have seen episodes from both of those - but! Of course I *must* go watch to be sure. So that's a few hours at least! (So far I find all of her documentaries re-watchable. They film in really interesting locations.)
