A less annoying Marple - yay! :)

Well, slightly less annoying. Let's not get overboard. I still marvel why she would have been hanging out in someone's garden at the end, snooping, without anyone minding. Old peeping Tom, that she is.

*sigh* I guess I'll have to stick with the movies.

Yup. Better to stick with the movies. Seriously, the endless discussions about who could have committed the murder and always leaving out the same person who was involved was just frustrating.

Sounds too predictable and quite boring. Didn't her editor tell Dame Agatha that that would make it much too easy, and that the readers would lose interest?

Well, even if the editor did, she had over 30 years to ignore the advice before it was eventually published.

I hate it when they do this. For example, Neal Stephenson has become pretty good at it, too.

Yeah, it's almost like they can't be bothered.

Yeah, but by the time that the why was discussed I was already longing to read "The End."
