Mulled stout... sounds good. :) Btw, 'The Secret Adversary' is one of the "classics" Kindle/Audible offers under their Whispersync menu on Amazon for just a couple of bucks or free if you have Amazon Prime. I've got the Nadia May narration which is great, imo. It looks like the default narration may have changed to Judi Pennington, though. As I've mentioned before, I usually just buy the Kindle version and then go to Audible to see which Whispersync audiobooks come up with the reduced prices. There may be several, and you can choose which one you prefer that way.
I happened to notice a new collected works of Sherlock Holmes narrated by Stephen Fry was just released, too.
I was very tempted by the Fry Holmes collection, but I really like the Simon Vance narration I have.
Thanks for the heads up on the Ammy/kindle offers. I regularly check the same thing to see if there any deals to be had on books on my tbr.
The narration I have from the library is by Alex Jennings, who also works well as a narrator for me.
I didn't notice it was an audiobook in the pic. Hope you enjoy it. I haven't listened to any Alex Jennings. And, yeah, I like Simon Vance, too. I have a lot of his narrations, though, and the clip of Fry sounded like he varied his voice a bit for different characters which is so nice when it's done well.
I think what made me decide against it in the end was that I had a hunch that I would be focusing more on Fry than on the story. But who knows, I may get it at some point.
:D
