I liked this book, but it´s not an easy one to like. I liked the first part of this book (especially the Derry subplot), then it dragged on for about 500 pages in the middle and then it became interesting again.
I hope it will improve for you :)

I wasn't a fan of this one, myself. I read it for a book club though.

I really enjoyed this one when I read it a couple of years ago
I think I only really got into this book about halfway through it. It's slow, it's a slow one.
Isn't this the perennial criticism of King? He's unable to discipline himself and focus on the basic story line, hence ending up with bloated, meandering tales?

You tell me. This is my first King.
I've never read any King, just read reviews/talked to people who have.

Good to know that there seems to be a general criticism of meandering. Thanks Arbie.
Since he doesn't understand paradoxes this one bugged me. Try Bag of Bones.

If this is an example of his writing style, then I am in no hurry to anything else by him.
I think his shorter works are my favs. If this is your first one of his I get it. This one annoyed the life out of me and I'm a fan :-)

Does Bag of Bones fall under the heading of "Horror"?
