Hooked on Books 4 years ago
Great idea! I think it would help me tremendously if I separated my planned tbr like you do and was able to physically see my progress. Now if I could only find a solution for my Kindle TBR I'd be in business. Maybe I need to create a post-it board or something and throw the sheets away as I go. Hmm... lol : )

Seriously, I have tried many ways to reduce my physical books at home and this is the only one that has worked in the past.
As for kindle books, ... I have not even tried to figure that one out. If you find a way, please let me know. :)

That's a noticeable dent there in the year to date pile!

It is getting there! :) I don't mind that I only read 1 (although I must have miscounted - there was another one... Hm?) book last month that came off of these stacks. It's still progress.
Also, I may have DNF'd another one and forgot to add it to my spreadsheet.
Hm....weird. In any case, it is getting smaller.

That's the important thing! (Though it's better if the books are actually GOOD.) :)

Exactly! :)
The one I DNF'd was So Many Ways to Begin by Jon McGregor. I have had that book for about ten years and finally read the first 20 pages. I really like his first book, but it looked like this was going to be just more of the same rather than something new. I was not in the mood. I'm sure I won't be in the mood for it for another few years. So, the DNF was not necessarily a bad book, just one of a style that I seem to have grown away from.
