Ooooohhh ... [grins]. I'm known to have done that, too. Including when *buying* books online ...

Enjoy Sir Roger's adventures!

Ha! Hilarious! Sorry for laughing at your embarrassment :( I do in fact sympathise.

Actually, I'm kinda proud I basically cleared out a whole section of their catalogue. LoL. :D
... including two editions of "Last Man Standing" ... poor you, for having to lug all that home!

Oh, but one of them is the unabridged audiobook. (Same with A Bientot.) :D
Ah, OK -- I'd been wondering!

It's a tricky situation, isn't it?

Ooh... looking forward to learning about Roger Moore through you. :)

I've not done this at the library, but I've done it while buying books online; less embarrassment factor, but obviously more expensive. :P I dream of someday having my TBR piles down so low I CAN do this at my library - I love the idea of single-handedly checking out whole sections of the catalog! :D

Yes, doing this with a shopping basked full of books would have been a lot more aggravating (at least until the realisation sets in that you have a load of new book coming your way...yay!)

As for TBR piles, I've obviously willfully ignored mine.

Oops! :) When do they need to be back at the library?
BrokenTune 3 months ago
I have plenty of time. They're due in a month, and I can extend 2 x 1 month after that (as long as no one puts a reservation in).
Elentarri's Book Blog 3 months ago
Well, it's technically only 4 books. You should manage to listen/read through that many in a few days?

So, what sparked your interest in reading about Roger Moore?
BrokenTune 3 months ago
Oh, I have had an interest for quite some time. I was actually lucky enough to see him on tour just a few months before he died. It was one of the "An evening with..." events, and I came away with a much different impression of him than I had had before.
So, when I was discussing The Moneypenny Diaries with a friend the other day, the topic of Bond, and the films, and Moore inevitably came up. This is why my TBR pile just will not shrink!
