I haven‘t met Sir Rupert just yet, but the cloak certainly doesn‘t make him a suspicious character ;)

LoL. I can't wait for you to meet him. :)

The cloak is significant though! Keep your eye on that arrogant so-and-so!

I really love reading this without knowing anything about it. It's like discovering why I love Christie all over again. :D

It's a much better story than I anticipated! I meant to only read a few chapters last night and couldn't get stopped!

That's a very good sign. :D

Wow. Sir Rupert has a cloak AND a sombrero hat ... Quite frankly, I‘m speechless.

Muahahaha!!! ;D

He's an immediate suspect.

Yeah, he most defintely is ;). In my minds eye he is a weird mix between Gandalf the Grey and Speedy Gonzales. Agatha Christie might have created the first cartoon villian ever. Bravo!

So, the villain in The Big Four was not cartoonish for you? Or are you just trying to purge The Big Four from your memory? (That would be totally understandable, of course.)
Lillelara 5 months ago
I’m afraid I don‘t remember much from The Big Four. And I didn‘t even try very hard to purge it from my mind, it just hasn‘t been a memorable read.
So I had to look the villians up and it beats me why I can‘t remember those people. Yep, they were cartoonish as well. Sir Rupert wins hands down in the fashion departement, though ;D.

He does. It's hard to beat a cloak and a sombrero.

The sombrero... I almost choked on my tea when I got to the sombrero. I wonder if she wrote that with a straight face, or if she cackled over her typewriter as she wrote it.

I'm choosing to believe she cackled. :D

And I love how Victoria brushes him off as a pompous ass :)

I really like Victoria. :) She's a lot of fun.
