There's more about Heidegger, but not quite as much detailed discussion about his philosophy. More biographical in nature and how he reacted to the others' philosophical growth. Those last two sentences of the quote, in particular, are explored more explicitly later on. This section was the hardest part of the book for me in terms of mental gymnastics.

This section was hard but I enjoyed it immensely. I did not like Heidegger at all but I don't have to like the subject to find his ideas and his logic interesting.

I'm relieved to that his future appearances in the book will be less prominent.
