I'm loving the seals, though! Especially that last pic.
Sally Sealion asks, bark! How do you tell a seal from a sealion?
BrokenTune 2 years ago
LoL. I think the two seagulls in picture #2 are asking the same question. I believe sea lions have larger flippers, tho.
... and visible ear flaps!

Who doesn't love seals ... and sea lions?

Great photos! Is this Balmedie? (Also: Which castle?)
Yep! TA's right: the usual way to tell is that sea lions have visible ears where-as seals don't.
If you've spent every other summer on the (German) North Sea coast from age 7 all the way through the end of high school, there are some things you learn early and never forget! :)
Sally Sea Lion is proud of your natural history acumen.

I'm in love with that last photo - they're all good, but that last photo is awesome!

Castles and seals sounds like a definite upgrade to staying home and writing reviews when the sky is sunny and cloudless. :) Thanks for sharing the pics with us

I love that last photo, too. Of all the snaps I took, that was the best one.

We really had fun...and I may have bought a book while out and about, too... I'm knackered today, tho. But then there is nothing like a Monday fully supported by COFFEE! ;D

Great pics! and the third one,how cute are the seals?
BrokenTune 2 years ago
They are really cute. And they swim up very close to the bank to spy on the visitors and the dive just when you have the camera ready, then pop up in another spot... :)
