Does it happen to contain Highsmith's take on cat vs. boyfriend?
BrokenTune 2 years ago
Yep. That's "Ming's Biggest Prey". That one was delicious fun ... in a Highsmith way. The other two were really good, too, in very different ways, tho.

I think this is definitely going to make my TBR!
"Ming's Biggest Prey" is unforgettable -- great fun, and oh so wicked in a *very* Highsmith way!
BrokenTune 2 years ago
It really is. I was gripped by the first paragraph already where Ming is unceremoniously turfed out of the cabin.
Yup. You pretty much know from the start that she has cause for revenge ... and she's going to act on it, and it won't be pretty.

Ah, but that is the thing. I never know with Highsmith how it is going to end...and whether revenge will be had. It's one of the reasons I keep reading her stories.

Do any of the cats in this book come to a sad/bad end?
BrokenTune 2 years ago
No. She definitely preferred cats to humans.

Excellent - might be a Highsmith I can give a try then.
