"Season of Migration to the North" by Ṭayyib Ṣāliḥ, "The White Nile" by Alan Moorehead, and / or a multi-author anthology called "Dedicated to the People of Darfur: Writings on Fear, Risk, and Hope." All of which I'm simultaneously interested in and not feeling much like reading at the moment, if that makes sense.
