Oh, excellent!

I'm very hopeful for this one to continue to be great.
Fingers so very much crossed. And I see you found the second Nicholas Blake / Nigel Strangeways Christmas mystery, too!

Yes! I've just met the Strangeways, and I think I will really like them. They remind me the Durbridge's Paul Temple and Steve. That's a good thing. :D
Oh, good. In the first book Nigel was "suffering" from a bit of an excess of quirks, but I think Blake quietly dropped some of them in the later books -- hopefully he'd done so by book 4 (this one) already.

I'm glad.

I'm enjoying this one just as much as Verdict of Twelve.

I see you're stacking future Blake choices. I've only read two others, besides Beast Must Die: Minute For Murder...but also I wanted to mention a late one I really liked, called The Private Wound. he's running two 4.5 and a 4 star rating with me, which ain't bad!

Having finished the Christie, Tey, and Sayers books, I need a new series. Durbridge is not bad, but his stories are a bit bland and formulaic. So, since I really like this one, I'm looking at the rest of the series. :D

I just noticed the same thing!
