Not to make it even more daunting, but it's really a trilogy ending with Henry V...

I know. But I look forward to HV, just not Henry IV.
It's worthwhile to go through all three and experience Harry's complete character arc as a continuous thing, imo.

And by doing this get all of the remaining Henrys out of the way. :) I did consider it, but I think I want to throw The Merry Wives in between IV and V.
Ah! The other Falstaff play! I found it most amusing and was surprised it isn't better known.

Oh, crap! Falstaff is in that one, too? Damn. Cannot catch a break. :(
Not a Falstaff fan?

Nope. I get that he's the counterpoint to Hal and needed to show Hal's growth...but I very much could have done without him. Part 2 tonight might require wine.

@Arbie - I think I'll take your advice and go to Henry V straight away.
Entirely up to you, of course.

I enjoyed Henry IV Part 2 much more than I thought I would.
That's 'cos it's really good...

...well, once I started skimming the Falstaff stuff. But also, The Hollow Crown is adaptation is absolutely fantastic.
