If you download it, you're braver than I am. I haven't moved it from "TBR" to "currently reading" for years because my doubts are exactly the same as yours.

On the upside, I suppose it is almost impossible for this one to be worse than any of the ones that Charles Osborne produced.

Following your previous recommendation, I think the Ryan is already on the list of books to try should I ever find myself craving a Holmes pastiche again. This is not that time.

You enjoyed it? Did you have any niggles at all with it?

I would read it with you, if you would like to have someone to suffer through it and talk about it ;)

Oh, but this may be a DNF, and if you don't already have a copy, I wouldn't want to cause you hassle or expense in getting the book.

My library has a copy of the ebook, so I wouldn´t spend money on it. And as a matter of fact, I was multiple times on the edge of reading one of her books myself. And as you have said, you can always fall back on the original.

Well, what the heck...Let's do it!

And all of a sudden my problem of not knowing what to read next has been solved :). I just have to finish Tony and Cleo first.

LoL. As one book closes, another opens. ;)
I've read one of her other novels in the series and didn't hate it, but it's been a while since I've read the originals, so perhaps my judgment is not the best.

Oh, that is really good to know. Do you remember the title of the one you've read?

I haven't tried any of her books. Getting it from the library is a good idea, though. It looks my library does have an ebook available, but I've got all of my hold slots filled, so I need to wait for something to open up. Yes, even my husband's holds are full, lol.

Do you have any other family members whose holds you can use?

Good, good. That's promising.

I read it when it was first released and did not like it at all. Poirot was not really Poirot, the mystery was not really great, it just had the wrong atmosphere and the characters were not really Christie characters. But do give it a try,the reviews were either very good or very bad

I'm only 20% in but I agree with everything you listed. :(
