He is beautiful!
He is rather gorgeous. I do like jays. We saw grey jays when we were in the New Hampshire mountains. They kept trying to steal the trail mix. And we've seen scrub jays in Florida which was a bit of a thrill as they're not that common.

There used to be a lot more scrub jays in Florida when I was a kid and there were several that would come to my grandma's backyard to get seed; they were very curious and friendly and wouldn't think twice about landing on you to get a closer look. Which is probably part of the reason they're so scarce now.
I remember going through a wildlife park in the UK once and they had a blue jay enclosure. My mother and I about died laughing. They are so common where we live! (And they can be so mean to other birds.)

I caused a near epidemic of death-by-laughter once at the Dallas Zoo when I got really excited at seeing a squirrel running around in the gorilla enclosure. I'd seen gorillas before, I'd never seen a squirrel, not even in a zoo :)

I've also never seen a Blue Jay, and I think he's cute as heck!
Oh, they are beautiful birds.

My husband had a similar reaction to the squirrels; he loves watching them every time we go back to Florida. Hell, I grew up with them and still giggle when I watch them. :)
