I suppose you wouldn't want to be lighting candles under those circumstances, lol.

I'll be curious to see what you think of this. I noted it a while ago as a possible read but never got around to it.
I picked it up a couple of years ago when it was a Kindle daily deal, and I've never got round to reading it. I've heard plenty of good things about it though.

I can't wait to start reading this one, myself (Divers Authors square), but first I need to finish reading the other three books I'm attempting to juggle. -_- Can't wait to see some of your updates if you do any.

This sounds good. Have you read any Lisa See or Amy Tan?
I haven't, but I'm thinking of reading Amy Tan for the 'diverse authors' square.

I was obsessed with reading Amy Tan when I was in high school. It was probably because there weren't that many Asian authors during that time... at least none known to me. So she became my "I relate with this author!" author, as a Chinese American living with traditional Chinese parents. But she only had so many books published. My personal favorite is The Hundred Secret Senses, though I mainly recommend The Joy Luck Club or The Bonsetter's Daughter. Then again, I haven't really reread any of her work, so I don't know if I'd still like them--it's been such a long time. :P
Coincidentally enough, I walked round to the library this afternoon and picked up The Hundred Secret Senses. It's for the diverse authors square, but I think the supernatural element fits nicely in the overall Halloween theme.
