Poor Dark Places. It has Middle Book Syndrome.
I bought Dark Places a while back and keep giving up a few pages in. It just doesn't hold my attention at all. Maybe one of these days I'll finally read it.
I almost gave up on it more than once. It wasn't a total waste of time, but compared to the other two I found it rather "meh".
