I honesty doubt if K thought the marriage was a sin to being with.

I agree, and this is where Weir's characterization choices are getting in the way. I'm thinking she put in those scenes of K doubting the validity of the marriage for the sake of drama, and then she didn't call back to them when it would make sense to from a story perspective. K never thinks "Oh, I wish I'd never voiced those irrational fears to Henry. Now he's using them against me!" Henry, who is on the attack, never says "You yourself told me you had doubts!" It's like a forgotten throwaway and my pedantic brain has latched on to it and won't let go. XD
