Either the novella or the anthology (A Phoenix First Must Burn), probably. Maybe some short fiction can help pull me out of this persistent reading slump.
I just did a compulsive and very expensive shopping spree today on an online "bookshop". 3 orders. I kept coming across other books I wanted. o_O. Might have to hang out at the folks for dinner for the next 2 months.... My excuse is that there might be another hard lockdown (government keeps threatening) and that the economy is going to shit faster than usual so I won't be able to afford any more books soon. :(
I may do another Oops! post. I picked up a freelance job that paid for my book spree and then some, so of course I ordered more books. I'm not even trying to justify it this time. It's straight-up shopping therapy to treat my "the economy is going to shit" anxiety. We're showing signs of a second wave of infections here, so another lockdown is probably imminent. :(
@DP, I just wanted to let you know that I have had several peeks at your post today, and every time I did, the picture of your towering haul made me smile.
