I will have to try the other one, which I remember seeing around but don't think I ever actually sat down with at any point. I did like her Spindle's End, though I had some similar concerns with it.

I don't think anyone should ever be ashamed to say they didn't love something, even if every other person in the world did.

You can't force yourself to like something. I've hated books other people loved and loved books other people hated. Such is life. :)
I guess it is more disappointment than shame. I really *like* liking things. It makes me happy.

But thank you for the wise words. :) You're quite right, and I probably ought to remember it more often.
I'd be interested in seeing what you think of it. I find myself wondering exactly how different it is.
