Looking at last picture, it doesn't look like they are all going to the same party.

They weren't allowed in!

The text sounds deadly dull, but I love those vintage Barbies

It was, we've had a chance to reconfigure and make a lot of repairs/cleaning to the collection with the downtime we've had.

My mom tells me she has my old barbies saved in her attic somewhere. I don't have any of the 50's vintage, but I did have my sister's 60's barbie with the flip hairdo, and I had the Suntan Barbie (the only one with a normal bustline) and a Mod Ken (although I lost most of his stick-on facial hair).

That's great! I wish I had more of my childhood favorites, though I wasn't allowed Barbies as a kid, but that's why I'm a toy collector now haha. Mod Ken was great! I'm gonna break down and buy the reproduction stick on hair one of these days, it was so cool

My favorite was the giant sideburns. It never occurred to me that they would make reproduction accessories (is stick on hair an accessory?) but it makes sense after thinking about it.

I'm glad you're able to indulge those little pleasures as an adult then. Those kinds of arbitrary rules about what is appropriate for children are stupid.
