Great word, "defenestration." I learned it in a history class. (The event kicking off the 30 Years' War is generally known as the Defenestration of Prague. The Protestant Czechs kicked their new Catholic emperor's men out a window. Accounts differ on how they survived the 70-foot fall - with the help of angels or the Virgin Mary, or by landing in a pile of manure.)

I like the manure version. Never heard that story, but then I learned my history many years ago in the Soviet Russia .
