I really think it was only because I didn't read it all in one shot. I got stuck putting this aside for galleys and scheduled buddy reads and when I came back to the book, I had trouble getting into a groove again. It's too bad that I didn't plan out my reads very well this month.

I can see that. I've actually also read the second one - Curse of the Wendigo, and have the third and the fourt queued up on my kindle (but unread. Of course). I also just freaking love the covers. I almost want to go buy them in print because I love the covers so much!
