Erm... pass. Even w/o your review, I would have a hard time getting past the blurb & title. :(
Just from browsing reviews, the book seems to be very polarizing, with lots of ratings at either one end of the spectrum or the other and not a lot in the middle. So if you think you won't like the book, chances are, you probably won't.

Ooh...I thought I remembered just reading the sample (freaky booklikes shelf search didn't bring up correctly); but, your review rang a lot of bells. I did read this one. And it was all over the place for me. About the time it would get good someone would be an asshole or more names would drop. I wound up thinking book was okay, did not live up to the humor or pathos of the sample that made me buy it — I just really wound up loathing Vaughn and she was hit/miss with me.

Not a good sign that I could not remember if I read it or not. And I actually do occasionally like a bit of chick lit (even liked all the shopaholic books).
I've only read one Kinsella, but I thought it was funny. It's still not my preferred genre, but I can see the charm when it's done right.
Yeah, Vaughan was an asshole in it Felt Like a Kiss as well, so I've not wanted to read this one.

Was "It Felt Like a Kiss" any good? Because this book had a lot of promise and some moments but was too uneven.
I absolutely loved it, but probably because I really identified with the main character. My review is here:
So Vaughn was a previous character in a Manning book?
No, Vaughan has a 'recurring cameo' (he's the MC's boss) in It Felt Like a Kiss, which was published this year. All of Manning's books take place in the same universe and we see characters crop up in cameos all the time.
Do any of the characters cross over to YA? I was interested in trying out one of her YA books. Adorkable has been on my list for a while.
Skyla made a list somewhere but I can't find the link... I've read Adorkable and apparently Gustave is from something else, and the MC in Adorkable is friends with the band members from Guitar Girl. I absolutely loved Adorkable even though I hated Jeane the MC, but Michael the boy is one of my (very very) few book boyfriends. He was written so awesome.

I might actually try "It Felt Like a Kiss"; I really did like parts of "Unsticky" and if could just have liked the characters more ... Since it's in the prime lending library on amazon.
