Welcome @Danielle; @Grimlock, I'll search out the newbie thread in the group and add her for you.
Thank you. Because python makes me wanna curl up and die, and I have no #@%*ing idea what I'm doing apparently?

You're welcome. The shout out for newbies thread (I added her) is

Some of the Python books from publisher O'Reilly have been a big help for me.
You're welcome.

Glad to try and help get some more love to more booklikers!
Welcome, Danielle, and thanks for following back so quickly!

For Python, maybe try ISBN 9781491919538 and 9781491946008 ? Or peek at table of contents or sample to see if any at click with you, seem more readable, or might address specific headaches?

%!$&!@*! goodreads destroyed my Python book tracking before I could back them up or I could remember better which to recommend. I just had to abbreviate the shelf name something that-site-we-still-don't-name authors objected to because ... I have no clue why; P2P got explained to me that fanfiction authors had goodreads destroy all those books because nursing and computer abbreviating "peer to peer" as "p2p" were bullying fanfiction because absolutely everyone everywhere in the entire blogosphere even if they had no idea what fanfiction was clearly were bullying them by having "pulled to publish" shelves which was absolutely the only possible meaning of P2P...

Still whining about it and sorry for ranting on your space. Nothing like the rant I gave them when weeks later they emailed saying that in hindsight that shelf name in context for those type of nonfiction books would be okay but sorry no way could they now restore the book cataloguing data they wiped out and that I could restore the reviews and book data I had yanked in protest. *snort*
Thanks. I think it’s just me, tbh. I have two textbooks already
