Thank you! I kinda just spewed my feels and hoped it made sense! So tired. I didn't get much sleep after the acapella semifinals last night, though. So late! And my body won't let me sleep much past six -_- Stupid body!

Sounds good. I'll keep an eye out. (Used up all my settlement money already). There are enough SPAs who are good that keep me willing to try a SPA if it looks interesting.
I loved this one! But I can see it sort of being a niche. Steampunk isn't for everyone, and this one relies heavily on folklore, obviously, and magic. It's incredibly fun if you're into that kind of stuff.

Now it really sounds fun.
Totally worth the four dollars. And the other three of the settlement money that I spent on her other book. Haven't read it, I'm already like, worth it, even if I don't like that one, that's how good this one was.

Great review! I really want to read more SPAs and Steampunk. I'm also curious how this author uses semicolons, I don't see many authors doing this... but it plagues my own work and I'll at least get some education out of this bit. Overuse is almost always a bad thing to do, but I usually find myself wanting to get out several aspects of a singular moment... anyway, now I'm really curious as to why this specific author does it! XD
It's really odd. They show up a whole bunch, go away, show up again often enough that I notice, then go away, then come back occasionally.

It just was a whole bunch for this sized story. Anyway, it's not a huge deal, I just try to do a balanced review. Except with MTMtE and RiD and FMA which are perfect, even when they are soul crushing -_-

I can so no bad things about them.
Charlotte E English also has a book in this shared world series, she's a really great writer as well. I've read her debut novel Draykon but I have the other two for when I have time.
I may try that one. I may not. The problem is this was fit more into my interests than the other two; I choose this one purely based on the cover illustration and hope that it would be sentient machine(s).

But this is good to know. If I want something else to read in the world, I'll consider English's!
I think her book in this world is about a racing car? But not sure, as it doesn't interest me enough to try it. But her writing is really good, I can vouch for that.
XD I need someone to read that first. I'll cry if the cars get scratched. Or hurt.

Great review! Not my current genre, but your review was very interesting.
Thank you!
I loved it! And thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed the review.

It wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but, yes, relevant to my interests in general and still super awesome.

I'm eager to see if you enjoy it as much as I did, if you choose to read this series. I'm thinking of reading English's novel, but read the sample, and there was a massive car wreck and I almost cried. In public. Not sure I can handle how she treats the cars.
