I haven't read either series. But I vote for Daughter of Smoke & Bone since you already started it. :)

I've got to vote for Percy Jackson, because I adore them (and may possibly be re-reading them already, although I first found them this year. Oops?) Definitely fun reading, and the mythology is great. I'm afraid the other series is something on my huge giant TBR list so I have no clue. It is heartening that you liked the first, though...
