I felt the writing was a bit rushed or abrupt in places, as if the authors were impatient to get on with the story, but the world was well-established, the dialogue was strong, and the writing showed some definite flair. An enjoyable read.

I thought it was entertaining enough. The authors did do a good job of maintaining a central plotline while also trying to craft their own take on the characters.
