I love it when books can succeed in taking you away from personal problems, if even for a moment. It makes the problem a little easier to face when you go back to it.

I hope everything works out with your mom. My Grandmother was bipolar then had a stroke the took her eyesight and messed with a lot of her cognitive function (basically instant dementia). It can be a trying combination. I hate to say this, but it has been almost a year since she passed and I have much less stress and anxiety now. I miss the hell out of her, but not the person she was the last 3 years of her life.

For me, Lansdale is a sure thing. I always pick him up when I feel a slump coming on.
