Sorry this one didn't work for you, but yes, at least you had the dressmaking mystery to look forward to - it's always good to know you have a good book waiting to erase the taste left by the bad one. :)
True. Though even the ones I've really liked have tended to leave a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I'm beginning to believe that stupidity is catching and a literary disease.
Well, that fudge is now all full of dog hair, and, if they're lucky, the dog won't have eaten any and poisoned itself yet.
Yeah, I think the cover looks pretty dumb too. As far as I went, that scene didn't happen.
I hate that cover - it's awful. But that scene never happened in the book and the dog is always kept out of the kitchen, thank god.

Good to know, MbD. Though I do think it sorta captures how the dog is suppose to be cute...but really wasn't for me. Thanks to some great recommendations from MbD and others, I've found cozies I love with animals in them but this reminded me of why I'd stayed away from ones with them on the covers before.
