Then some more controlled by pack alpha ones in Alpha and Omega series ("Cry Wolf") by Kim Harrison, Stray series by Rachel Vincent, Women of the Other World ("Bitten" -- yes like the recent-ish tv series) by Kelly Armstrong ...
