A coworker recommended this series to me. I have the first book and read about 200 or 300 pages, but had to shelve it again as a tbr. It was so slow moving and tolkinquse. I'm definitely going to try again in the future.

I've read it so often - I tend to start from the beginning as new books have been added to ongoing series - that I can barely judge it anymore - but I still enjoyed it when I read it this year. Things do get rolling once everyone leaves the Two Rivers.

In ebook form the book was about 2,000 pages. I don't mind I very large book, but at the time I was rereading a song of fire and ice. Maybe I was overwhelmed.
