I used to hate theory at university, but (ironically) I'm starting to see the appeal... What else have you read of Thomas'? I'm guessing from your comment that you can't recommend her other books?

I only read her Bright Young Things, and it was one of the most ridiculous/stupid books I have ever read. I cannot comment on her other works, tho. It looks from your review that her other books may be ok.
