Well this Brit thinks Terry Pratchett is wonderful and that journo is just a know-nothing literary snob of the highest order. And I would be first in line at the cinema if Idris Elba was chosen to play Bond.

The Guardian (that ran the Pratchett piece as if they hadnt looked stupid enough in the week before when they'd run an article claiming that readers read Porn and chick lit on their kindles whilst filling their shelves with important stuff like War and Peace to look good) have descended into click bait madness recently. MY thought with this (and anyone else spouting this type of shit) is that they are trying to turn themselves into the Daily Mail. I don't know why. But when the Pratchett piece ran I thought for a moment that I WAS actually reading the Daily Mail....
My assumption was that it was click-bait.

It even has a change.org petition - which I think is silly - and that was how I found out because it was posted on Pratchett facebook group. I'm kinda with Deborah Lipstadt - don't debate idiots when there really isn't a debate.

I'm with BrokenTune - as long as he doesn't talk.

I'd prefer him over Daniel Craig - and that isn't an insult to Craig.
I think he would make an excellent Bond. What the f***k does "too street" even mean?! Is that a euphemism for "too black"? Frakking ridiculous.

I think that is what it means.
