A graduate of Ryerson University's journalism program, Dale Patterson began his media career in 1974 at The Canadian Press in Toronto. He spent the next 35 years at the national news agency in various reporter-editor capacities.Patterson worked in broadcasting as a show producer at CKFH Toronto in 1974-75. In the '80s and early '90s, he hosted a weekly oldies show at CING-FM (FM 108) in Burlington, Ont.Since 1996, Patterson has published an extensive web site on the history of rock radio. Rock Radio Scrapbook (www.rockradioscrapbook.com) has hundreds of airchecks (recordings) of leading Top 40 stations and personalities.Patterson's first book, "What Time of Day Was That? History by the Minute", was published in 2001 by Fitzhenry & Whiteside Limited in Markham, Ont. It focuses on the time of day events took place in history.Patterson lives with his family in the Toronto area.
