Although Debbie Bowen earned an associate degree from Utah State University, most of her education comes from the school of hard knocks as a homemaker and homeschool mom for more than thirty years. In her spare time, she has managed to write four books: From Pampered to Productive--Raising Children Who Know How to Work (formerly titled W.O.R.K.--Wonderful Opportunities for Raising Responsible Kids); Nobody's Better Than You, Mom; Simply Sane: Living Outside the Fast Lane; and most recently, Raising Latter-day Stripling Warriors--5 Strategies for Building a Formidable Family Fortress. As the mother of ten children--six sons and four daughters--she has plenty of practical experience for her chosen topics. She has also shared her expertise as a public speaker for church groups and women's conferences. In addition to writing, her hobbies include gardening, sewing, flowering arranging, and long bike rides in the country.
