I enjoyed this story but it was a bit heavy on chauvinism and prejudice. I liked the heroines strength and assertiveness but a couple times she gave in too easy and I'm not sure the hero did enough atonement for me to believe he really changed. Polly tries to save her staff when the company is tak...

For some guaranteed reading enjoyment Sarah Morgan has become my go-to author. You know what you get when you grab yourself a Harlequin Presents by this author. The rich guy and sometimes struggling heroine, great dialogue, sexy chemistry and overall a lovely story with no TSTL heroines and no dickh...

I've never been more annoyed about the lack of respect Harlequin pays to its category romances: this is a really good book, and it's almost ruined by lousy continuity. How hard can it be for a proofreader to notice that the hero's sister changes names from one paragraph to the next, several times. (...

Started reading this only to realize I had read it years ago. Knew the title was familiar. Damn you and your serials, HQN

Before reading this book, I had heard many good things about it and I know Sarah Morgan is a strong writer for both the Presents and Medical Romance lines. As a result, I went in expecting an alpha hero, a heroine with backbone and hopefully a fun story. This book delivered on all counts. Damon is...

I can totally see why one of my GRs friends has so much love for Polly. She really is a great character. Loving, hardworking, intelligent, strong, and willing to stand up for what's right. And she has a great sense of humor. I loved her loyalty to her employees. Wish more bosses were that way in ...

Look at that cover. Just look at that beautiful cover. That's what romance novel covers should look like. It reminds me of the early nineties-late eighties Harlequin covers I used to just gaze at imagining the stories behind them. Then I reached double digits and finally dared to steal one of my mum...

Hard working Polly Price has to face up to her old nemesis Damon Doukakis. Teenaged rebellion had brought him in to her life when she got his sister expelled from school. Now his sister has run off with her father and Damon wants answers. Overall, a very compelling story.

2.5 stars. Not generally a fan of Harlequin Presents line but this was an okay read. Like most HPs, it follows a pretty basic formula and it's not hard to predict exactly what will happen next. What lifts this up from others is the heroine. She had a spine. The hero was a typical cardboard cutout b...
