I thought I understood what I was getting into when I started Dracula. I knew the plot and was familiar with the characters. It’s hard to read as much horror as I do and not know about Dracula, even if you’ve never read the original. I expected to love this novel because it has influenced pretty muc...

This is a very adventurous and entertaining read. The only really downsides to this book are the time period in which it was written and its prevalence in modern pop culture. As to the first point, the time period makes the female characters fairly dull and nearly useless, although Mina is a pretty p...

I believe this was my third read of this book, but the only time I've listened to it on audio. This was a full cast performance and it was excellent. I highly recommend it to horror fans that dislike reading in epistolary form, the voicing here really brings the diary entries and letters to life. ...

Dracula is the most famous vampire story ever written, Bram Stoker introduced us to their worlds and without him, they would not be so much vampire stories today. I think that I love the vampires he described much more, they are monsters and I prefer these kinds of vampire than the ones that sparkle...

It felt somewhat weird reading this book, as everyone in today's society knows who Dracula is and the folklore behind vampires. I spent the entire book knowing more about what's going on than the characters (sans Van Helsing), which can be annoying at times. It makes me wonder what it would be like ...

Dracula was my lucky choice from the Classics Club Spin, in which I decided to take part for the very first time last April. I won't hide from you that I wanted to read Dracula for a very long time, and I had a copy just sitting on my self. For some reason, all of this time I was reluctant and this ...
